ദേശപോഷിണി വായനശാല പ്ലാറ്റിനം ജൂബിലി ആഘോഷങ്ങളുടെ ഭാഗമായി ജനവരി 5ന്‌ വനിതാ സമ്മേളനം നടത്തി. പരിപാടിയില്‍ ശ്രീമതി ഖദീജ മുംതാസ്‌ മുഖ്യപ്രഭാഷണം നടത്തി. ശ്രീമതി ശ്രീദേവി കക്കാട്‌്‌ അധ്യക്ഷത വഹിച്ചു. വി. പി. ലീലാവതി ടീച്ചര്‍ സ്വാഗതവും കുമാരി അനുഷ നന്ദിയും പറഞ്ഞു. തുടര്‍ന്ന്‌ ദേശപോഷിണിയുടെ കലാസമിതിയുടെ പുഷ്‌പവൃഷ്ടി എന്ന നാടകം അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു.1960കളില്‍ തിക്കോടിയന്‍ രചിച്ച്‌, ദേശപോഷിണിയുടെ കലാസമിതി അവതരിപ്പിച്ച ഈ പുരാണനാടകം എ. രത്‌നാകരന്‌റെ സംവിധാനത്തിലാണ്‌ സമിതി പുനരാവിഷ്‌കരിച്ചത്‌

On 27th August ,Desaposhini ,Balavedi wing and Bheema Jewellery Calicut have jointly organized flower carpet competition for the children. on 21st and 22nd june 2012, women’s wing of the Desaposhini library organised a two day training class for women on fabric and glass painting among others at library hall.About 65 womens in and around participated in this progamme.The class was conducted by smt.Rugmini collabration with pidilite ltd.
